The ranks of the Ordre national du Québec include 1168 Quebeckers and 73 non-Quebeckers for a grand total of 1241 members, 683 of whom are living and 559 deceased. The Ordre’s composition is 71 % men and 29 % women.
Composition by rank is as follows: 642 Knights, 390 Officers, 116 Grand Officers. Under certain circumstances, a member can achieve a higher rank.
The members of the Ordre are eminent individuals who have contributed to building a creative, innovative and solidary society in Québec.
