Use of cookies

The site installs a cookie on your computer’s hard drive only if you use the “Increase font size” function. Once this function has been activated, the cookie ensures that the largest font size is retained throughout your visit.

Automatically transmitted information

As soon as you access the site, information is exchanged between your computer and the server that hosts the site. This information does not identify you personally. In compliance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information, the department or agency that requests personal information from you must make sure of the need to gather this information (section 64), identify itself and inform you (excerpt from section 65):

  • of the name and address of the public body on whose behalf the information is being collected;
  • of the use to which the information will be put;
  • of the categories of persons who will have access to the information;
  • of the fact that a reply is obligatory, or that it is optional;
  • of the consequences for the person concerned or, as the case may be, for the third person, in case of a refusal to reply;
  • of the rights of access and correction provided by law.

If you choose to send us personal information by completing a form on the site, we will only use the information needed to reply to your message. Electronic messages are treated with the same confidentiality measures as regular mail. The personal information transmitted is not conveyed to another government agency, unless your request is addressed to that agency or the transmission of the information is required by law. In no case is the information used to draw up user profiles or conveyed to private organizations.

The site proposes links to other government sites, whether it be the Québec government or other governments, as well as to sites of certain private organizations. These sites are presented in a new window. When you access these sites, the information exchanged is no longer subject to the privacy policy of this site, but rather to that of the snew site visited.
