Foreign appointments

Foreign appointments are not confined to a set calendar. They can be made any time of the year at the Premier of Québec’s discretion.

The majority of people honoured in this way have made an outstanding contribution to the vitality or renown of Québec or La Francophonie (the world’s French-speaking nations) as a whole.
